1. Who are the members of your family?
My husband Sean, my two boys, Landon (3 in April) and Nolan (4 months). We also have two cats, Axle and Zoe. Oh, and a fish. Daddy Fishy...
2. What is or was your career?
Currently: Almost a year and a half ago a started a mobile spray tanning business called The Tan Kitty. Starting a tanning business was something I had wanted to do for years but I always had the "corporate" job and frankly we needed the paycheck that came with my "corporate" job! Finally, after having our first son, the stars aligned and my husband gave me the extra boost of confidence I needed to pursue something I am so passionate about! I love making people feel good!
Past: Before I became a stay at home mom, I was a Director of Sales for a division of Coca-Cola.
3. How long have you been a member of FIT4MOM of North Orange County and what has it done for you?
I became a member of FIT4MOM North OC in August of 2014. I can't believe Lando was only 4 months old! What would I do without SS?! I have met some amazing women that have been so welcoming and supportive. I love being able to workout with my boys and connect with other moms at the same time!
4. What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?
How hard it is.
How emotionally exhausting it is.
How tired I am.
How I can truly love my children with every bone in my body but there are moments where I really don't like them. lol kidding. Kinda. Toddlers and nuts!
How I can juggle way more things than I ever thought I could.
How planned my life is now.
How unpredictable my life is now.
How flexible I have become.
How strong I really am inside and out.
How I really do have patience.
How much I worry about my children.
How I can love two tiny humans more than anything on this planet and I couldn't imagine my life without them.
5. Favorite website(s)?
My lifeline... literally.
6. List three current obsessions.
Zillow, Redfin, reality TV
7. What is your child's/children's favorite thing about you or favorite thing that you do?
Landon loves it when I sit with him on the couch and sing nursery rhymes with him. Netflix for the win! Nolan loves it when I ask him if he scrunched his nose when he smiles. He gives me the biggest smiles and squeals so loud!
8. Any tips for other moms out there?
Say YES. Say YES to the tiny little helper that isn't much help but REALLY thinks he is. Say YES to the potential mess. Say YES to the potential forever memory. I don't know about you, but for awhile I found myself just trying to get things done...Dinner, cleaning, errands, everything. When my little one would try and "help" with what I was doing, I realized I was saying NO to everything because I just wanted to get it done. Cue TANTRUM... which made getting things done take even longer! One day I caved and said FINE... Help me cook dinner... Lando jumped up on the chair in the kitchen and shouted "NOW WE'RE COOKIN!" With the sweetest voice and the biggest smile on his face. My heart melted and all the struggles of that day no longer mattered. He was happy, I was happy, and I would forever remember that moment forever. They aren't going to be our little babes forever so try and enjoy every moment. Say YES.
